Such a long, crazy week. Just absolutely crazy. Mom came and took me to dinner tonight, which was nice. Very nice.
I actually got work done today. Physics is done, chem is about 2/3 done, though I still have a "cheat sheet" to write and a take-home to write. My presentation is at least started. I think I may do more work tonight; I'll be doing linear and a lot more presentation work tomorrow. Plus that test. I hope it's fairly similar to the first two.
I discovered the gardens behind the Grove House on Friday. They look very California. And no one seems to be there that much, so good. They have prickly pear and pepper tree, and vaguely remind me of the botanical gardens back home, at least the cactus garden. A good place.
Registration was not fun. Another weepy day. Almost all the fun electives (half of E4, discrete, CS60, bio) are on Tuesday or Thursday, mostly on both. There are 4 of 8 sections of labs that are compatible with these. So basically, maybe 2/3 of the freshman class (I'd guess, just from the schedules and the people in the office) gets the electives that they want/need. The rest, I would guess, would go into bio or something. Anyway, that's what I'm doing at the moment. I will study enough to pass out of chem 22; there is absolutely no way I'm going to have 5 days of 8:00 classes. Prof. Daub told me to give him the lab work I've done so he could tell whether I'd pass out of chem lab; I looked at it and it didn't look terrifically impressive. I hope I can pass out, because it would let me take both CS and bio, but I'm not sure that I would let myself... of course, who knows. I'll know Monday. So that was not fun. I won't get to take CS for a year if I don't get it this time.
Still avoiding people. It's just easier right now. And I do have work to do.
People are smoking something in my suite and it stinks. Gah.

Oooh! I now have the 5th Wheel of Time book! Yay!
