I don't know what I want to do. I waited too long to get into the HMC research program, and I'm really not sure about summer math. I talked with Prof. Benjamin today, and he recommended it if a) I had nothing better to do with my time or b) I really needed it for schedule issues. I need to look at math/chem schedules, soon. And I found out Prof. Ward's teaching analysis next spring! I should take that. Really, really should take that. She was good in Math 11.
And I need to look for a summer job. There was an intriguing notice from career services about a position at Galileo Pharmeceuticals, in the SF area. It involves synthesis and has minimum course requirements of "sophomore organic chemistry," which I'm guessing means, more or less, the year that I've taken. I'll apply. I should talk with Ray about him in the Santa Cruz area for the summer. I also sent in a resume for the Northrop Grumman summer program. I might be studying core over the summer, trying to pass out of at least some of it.
I went to Career services and the person there was very "Sit down and let me do stuff for you/tell you what you need to do." In a nice way. I'm going in to work on my resume on Thursday after discrete.
News from discrete is good. I like that class.
My room is slightly cleaner than it used to be.
And I just remembered that I forgot about that chem homework that I didn't hand in this morning. Grrr.
