Wow. What a day. What a freaking day. What a freaking good day!
1. Ms. B was absent. (Almost) enough said.
Well, I'll elaborate sometime, but it was good. I think the sub was surprised at just how glad we were to have her.
2. I got to go with AcaDec people. Fun stuff. The car ride was good, there was a boring wait for the banquet, but it was good to be with these crazy people.
3. We/I kicked total butt in the competition. Ok, not first--but third! THIRD! THIIIRD!!!!! UP FROM TENTH LAST YEAR!!! And I got 6 medals. 6! And 2 of them gold. I am soooo happy about that.
4. I went to winter formal. I'd been nominated for court, but I didn't get it, and I think I'm sort of glad if only because I wasn't forced to dance with a complete stranger. People cheered really loud for me though. Of course, my friends tend to be enthusiastic.
But I was so pretty! (this is my journal, I'm allowed to say it!) And everyone else looked good too. And I went crazy swing-dancing with Stephanie in the hall, and danced with Ray after both of us didn't get king/queen. And my dress was pretty and Mom's scarf made a great sash. And my hair was straight! My shadow didn't seem to belong to me.
We went to Denny's and I swear I'm going to bed now. I have to be at the school at 6:00 tomorrow. Science OBwl. I'll be dead.
